Your child's individuality and loving care are our top priorities. Every day, children learn to face new challenges. In order for them to develop in an age-appropriate way, they need an environment in which they feel comfortable. Children want caregivers who have a lot of confidence in them, who encourage and support them. And this is exactly where we come in at our familea daycare centers.
Our care offer
Children discover the world - spurred on by their curiosity - attentively accompanied by us. In our more than 30 daycare centers with around 1,400 childcare places, we offer a high-quality range of services.
Pedagogical concept
The pedagogical concept of familea is oriented in such a way that every child can develop into an independent and socially responsible personality through free play and group activities in all areas.
Since its foundation in 1901, familea, the former Basel Women's Association, has set itself the goal of supporting families in their everyday lives. With more than 30 daycare centers with around 1,400 places in the Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau area, we offer a high-quality childcare program where your child feels comfortable, builds sustainable relationships and is encouraged in his or her interests and strengths.
We want to accompany the children on their respective developmental paths, support and motivate them, give them praise and recognition, and "strengthen" them in their strengths. We promote this through a variety of learning, play and life experiences that address all of the child's senses and areas of development.

We are very pleased about your interest in one of our daycare places.
In order for us to make initial internal clarifications regarding the desired space and to contact you for an inspection appointment, we ask you to fill out our adjacent registration form as completely as possible. The registration is non-binding and free of charge.
You are welcome to visit our daycare centers at any time. Please contact our daycare center managers directly to arrange a non-binding appointment. You will find the direct contact at the respective location.
The costs incurred for childcare depend on the desired level of care for the child as well as any support contributions from the canton, the municipality or even the employer.
All families living in the canton of Basel-Stadt can receive childcare contributions. The amount of the childcare contributions depends on the parents' income and assets. The table shows the estimated contributions. This is an estimate - the definitive calculation is made by the Fachstelle Tagesbetreuung.
